Nothing Good Can Come of This.

We paid a visit to one of Michael's great grandfathers a few weeks ago. This is what Michael discovered when he started to wander around the house. While it was fun watching Michael play the drums at someone else's house, I'd prefer that we keep this something special to be done at great Pop Pop's house, and not an every day occurance at ours. Seriously, can you blame me?

Don't do it!!!!

Jon has permanent hearing damage from playing drums as a child/adolescent. He has constant tinnitus and has seen many specialists. It sucks but there's nothing they can do to reverse the damage.

Michael looks so grown up in that photo!

Ed, who plays clarinet in a jazz band, has forbid drums from ever entering our house! (He actually has a list of instruments William can not play, but drums are at the top!) LOL. I agree with Laura--Michael looks like a big boy!

What an awesome shot! You know, I almost got my niece a drum set as revenge for the gift of a recorder for each of my girls, I am not that mean.

I guess I'm the opposite of everyone else LOL. Growing up both of my parents were musicians. My dad supported our family for a few years by playing drums and trumpet in a funk band. We had a drumset in our house as far back as I can remember. I would find it so cool if J was interested in playing drums, but I'll wait until he's older and let him pick whatever instrument he wants (my parents had us all pick instruments at age 5).

Amazingly my hearing is fine but I have to admit my twin sister has some hearing loss in her left ear.

LOL That picture is too cute. Batman has played the drums on his Uncle's Rockband game, but that's as close as he will ever get!

Looks like you have a future musician on your hands!

Oh wow! Yes, definitely keep that out of your house!

Did Michael grow up about 4 years when he sat down at those drums? My sister-in-law has promised the baby drums for his next birthday. I think my hubster may be putting the quahitas on that one...he says no way, no how to drums in our house. While I think it would be fun for BooBoo to whale away on a set for a while, I do have to agree that we do not need drums in our humble abode.

You are very welcome for the recipe and I'm glad it went over well!

Cole is obsessed with drums! Everything he finds is a drumstick. We have to take him to the science center just to play the drum set they have. My mom (who may have a new toy to store at her house soon) bought him a toy drum set for Christmas. Grr!!

Actually, the music teacher at my school thinks drums are a perfectly good choice for first instrument. I'm not sure I agree.
